Joshua Riverton (played by Josh Eisenberg) worked for a global chemical giant for ten years, a company notorious for its environmental negligence. When his daughter contracts a mysterious illness, he steps forward to expose the truth, which spirals his life into chaos. He believes that the company's negligence is the cause of his daughter's illness, while dark forces are covering up the truth. When he finally has the opportunity to confront his former boss, Dr. Verland (played by Paul Stettman), he escalates the standoff into a violent conflict, resulting in Joshua getting shot. Now, on the run, Joshua takes painkillers while holding Verland hostage. He demands to investigate his daughter's condition, but as he spends more time with Verland, his grasp on reality begins to crumble. Is it due to the painkillers, or is Verland's true nature more terrifying than he imagined? Are the dark forces just Joshua's delusion, or has he stumbled into a horrifying evil alliance?
