On a stormy night, a plane crashes into the boundless depths of the ocean... In the Bahama waters of azure blue skies, unemployed diver Gerard (played by Paul Walker) and his girlfriend Samantha (played by Jessica Alba) prepare to hunt for treasures from a sunken ship in the deep sea. However, their old boat and the competition from Bates make it difficult for them to succeed. Fortunately, their lawyer friend Bryce and his girlfriend Amanda arrive, and the four set out to sea, unexpectedly discovering clues to a famous pirate's treasure as well as a plane filled with drugs. Bryce and Amanda start to consider the drugs, but Gerard, focused on discovering the treasure, persuades his friend to steer clear of drugs. Soon, Gerard falls into a financial crisis, and Bryce urges him to profit from the drugs, disregarding Samantha's advice, to support their treasure hunt. Meanwhile, Bates and a drug lord are secretly watching these treasure-hunting friends...
