After the death of her mother, Cinderella (played by Lily James) had her father marry the beautiful Lady Tremaine (played by Cate Blanchett), who brought along her two daughters Anastasia (played by Holliday Grainger) and Drisella (played by Sophie McShera). With a kind heart, Cinderella tries to coexist peacefully with her stepmother and stepsisters. However, everything changes drastically after her father's death. Losing her father's protection, Cinderella is reduced to the status of Lady Tremaine's slave and the family's maid. Yet, despite suffering under the oppression and humiliation from her relatives, Cinderella decides to stay and protect this family. By chance, she meets a young man named Kit (played by Richard Madden), not knowing that this charming young man is a prince, and thinking he is merely a servant. The prince hosts a grand ball at the palace, inviting young women from across the kingdom to attend, and Cinderella wishes to go, but Lady Tremaine clearly does not favor this idea.
