Tokyo, a world-renowned metropolis. After breaking up with her boyfriend, Sarah (played by He Chao-Yi) comes to this place seeking to buy a house for starting a family and to spend a brief and peaceful vacation, but everything goes awry. Due to the sudden visit of the American president to Tokyo, her originally booked hotel is fully booked. A real estate company places her in a very old, eerie, and abandoned private lodging called 'minipaku,' which is run by an elderly woman (played by Kazuko Shirakawa). On her first night there, she feels very uneasy and frightened, experiencing continuous nightmares, and falls ill, being forced to stay. To her shock, she discovers a complete skeleton being devoured by parasites. The senior police inspector (played by Kazuya Takahashi) takes over the investigation and finds the lodging involved in multiple mysterious missing persons cases, with strange happenings occurring, but he is unable to solve the mystery for Sarah. The house, with its very mysterious power and unclear history, has some connection to Sarah. When the lights of 'minipaku' go out, terrifying and unsettling visions engulf her, becoming increasingly real. A series of horrific and bizarre nightmares ensues, leaving one to wonder whether this is a beginning or an end, as if everything is preordained.
