In 1930s Hong Kong, social unrest and gangsters were rampant. One day, the Hong Kong tycoon Mr. Hu found private detective Ai You (played by Lin Zi Xiang) and asked him to investigate Mrs. Hu, as he felt she had been acting strangely lately. After the investigation, Ai You discovered that a villainous priest named Kaban (played by Mai Jia) had been seducing Mrs. Hu, intending to steal Mr. Hu's invaluable stocks. When their plan was uncovered by Ai You, they began to hunt him down. In a desperate moment, Ai You also discovered that Mr. Hu was not a true Hong Kong tycoon, but rather a swindler, who had come to Hong Kong to con Kaban and other thugs out of their money. Mr. Hu invited Ai You to join him in setting a trap for Kaban. After discussing it with his friend detective Robin (played by Teddy Robin), Ai You decided to turn the tables on them.
