The story takes place at Sakurakou High School and revolves around the Light Music Club, which consists of five members. The band, named "After School Tea Time," features the airheaded girl Yui Hirasawa (voiced by Ai Kayano) as the guitarist and lead singer, the calm yet shy Mio Akiyama (voiced by Yoko Hikasa) as the bassist, the energetic club president Ritsu Tainaka (voiced by Satou Satomi) as the drummer, the gentle and enthusiastic keyboardist Tsumugi Kotobuki (voiced by Minako Kotobuki), and the junior Azusa Nakano (voiced by Ayana Taketatsu) as the guitarist. As the new school year begins, everyone except Azusa advances to their third year and they are all placed in the same class. However, if they do not recruit new members soon, the Light Music Club will face dissolution next year when four members graduate.
