One day, while on his way to the provincial city to do business, he encountered a fortune teller who told him he would meet a beautiful ghost who would cling to him. Wen did not believe this and left. However, on his way home, he suddenly saw a frail young girl running wildly in the woods. The weak girl claimed to be Xiaocui, poor and sold to a brothel. Unable to endure the suffering, she ran away. Wen, feeling pity for her plight, invited her to stay at his home, but due to his cruel wife, he had her disguise as a male servant.
