Uehara Ichiro (played by Toyokawa Etsuji), who lives in a corner of Tokyo, was once a renowned leader of the anarchist movement in the 1980s. Their daily livelihood mainly relies on the café run by Sakura. Ichiro, who leads a lethargic life, maintains the rebellious attitude of his youth, disapproving of various policies from the government to school, often resulting in harsh denunciations that make Jiro feel very embarrassed. Soon after, Jiro faces the danger of expulsion due to injuring a delinquent youth. In a moment of crisis, Sakura boldly proposes that the whole family move to Ichiro's hometown, Ishigaki Island in Okinawa, to start a new life amidst beautiful scenery. Meanwhile, Ichiro's fight has never stopped... This film is adapted from the novel of the same name by Okuda Hironobu.
