In May 1962, the luxurious Italian liner Antonina Graza mysteriously vanished with hundreds of passengers on board while navigating near the Bering Strait, becoming one of the most famous unsolved mysteries in modern maritime history. In 2002, a Canadian Air Force plane discovered a drifting small boat in the same area, and the pilot Jack Freeman (played by Desmond Harrington) was intrigued by the secrets behind the boat. He hired Captain Sean Murphy (played by Gabriel Byrne) and his rescue team to search the high seas for the aimless drifting liner. According to maritime law, any unclaimed vessel discovered in international waters belongs to the discoverer, and a luxury liner undoubtedly represents a huge treasure. When they finally locate the target, Captain Murphy realizes that it is the Antonina Graza, which has been missing for forty years!
