Alan decides to become a novice of Yue Lao (the god of marriage). He partners with the fiery Pinky (played by Wang Jing) to come to the mortal world to carry out tasks. When Alan encounters the dog Aru and his owner, Xiao Mi, his past life memories flood back. Xiao Mi (played by Song Yunhua) was his beloved in his previous life.
