She travels to Rome and reunites with her long-lost mother, whose words shock her. To uncover the cause of her mother's condition, she seeks out two young priests (Simon Quarterman and Evan Helmuth) who secretly perform exorcisms without the church's knowledge. With their help, the demons inside Maria gradually reveal themselves... The film won the Best Film Score award at the 2012 BMI Film & Television Awards.
