With endless hopes for the future, the young Shizhen (played by Jung Yoo-mi) leaves her hometown and travels thousands of miles to the bustling metropolis of Seoul, where she is about to start a new work life. Nevertheless, she maintains a positive and optimistic attitude as she lives each day. The only thing troubling her is the rough and fierce man living next door. His name is Woo Dong-cheol (played by Park Jong-hoon), who used to be involved with the mafia and went to prison to take the blame for his boss. Although he is now free, physically and mentally exhausted, he can no longer find his former drive. This pair of neighboring individuals constantly creates misunderstandings and jokes, but as they gradually get to know each other, Shizhen discovers the genuine and kind heart of the dusty soul that is Woo Dong-cheol, and a fresh and warm affection slowly develops between them.
