Synopsis

The master of Taiwanese cheating techniques, Tai Dou, was defeated by Hong Kong's card king Huang Shangqian (played by Huang Baiming) in a battle, which led to a feud between them. One day, Huang Shangqian's disciple A Wei (played by Tony Leung) met the widow Su Qian, who had just returned from Singapore, and thought he could make a big profit from her. Together with Young Master Ren (played by Ren Dahua) and his senior sister Da Bo Mei (played by Ye Zimei), they set up a scheme. However, Su Qian turned out to be a con artist as well, and instead of making money, A Wei and his team ended up deeply in debt. Out of options, A Wei had to ask his master Huang Da Qian to help; after winning back A Wei's debt from Su Qian, Huang Da Qian made peace with her and they agreed to cooperate against the unscrupulous businessman Long Zaitian. They easily managed to take two million from Long Zaitian, who, unwilling to be deceived so easily, called in Tai Dou to fight again...
