 Synopsis
The story takes place in sunny Texas, where Bick (played by Rock Hudson) is a ranch owner who has grown up and lived there. The warm Texas sun has illuminated his character, making him gentle and honest. A beautiful woman from the East, Leslie (played by Elizabeth Taylor), catches Bick's eye. Having lived in the West for years, he has never seen a woman like her. Soon, the two fall in love and ultimately walk hand in hand into the halls of marriage, and so Leslie becomes the mistress of the farm.                                                                         Jett (played by James Dean) works as a hired hand on Bick's farm. By chance, he comes across a piece of land that he can cultivate on his own. To his surprise, Jett strikes it rich, as under this land lies a treasure trove of oil, making him a millionaire overnight.
