Constable Song Yichen investigates the crime scene and discovers that each victim has a flower mark on their forehead, leading him to suspect it is the work of a demon. Song Yichen is attacked by a tree spirit, but he is saved by the flower fairy, the Crimson Concubine, who takes him to the Third Heaven. Song Yichen notices that his aunt, the Crimson Concubine, has the same flower mark on her forehead as the victims and begins to suspect her of being the true culprit. Lei Ning'er, the leader of the Demon Hunter Clan, assists Song Yichen in the investigation; however, her true identity is that of a tree spirit. All her actions are to find a way to the Third Heaven to seek revenge for her aunt. Lei Ning'er repeatedly frames the Crimson Concubine, even causing the death of Feng Yan, who has feelings for Song Yichen, framing the crime on the Crimson Concubine. Devastated by her love for Song Yichen, the Crimson Concubine decides to leave him. Lei Ning'er schemes to lead Song Yichen to the Third Heaven, where they bloodily massacre the Flower Fairy Pavilion, resulting in a mutual death with the Flower God. The Crimson Concubine and Song Yichen jump from the Execution of Immortals stage, and the Flower God uses her thousand years of spiritual power to save both of them, parting ways at the Flower Fairy Pavilion. The Crimson Concubine takes over the position of the Flower God, while Song Yichen waits for her in the mortal realm until he turns gray.
