As one of the few remaining mutants, Wolverine Logan (played by Hugh Jackman) and Caliban (played by Stephen Merchant) look after the elderly Professor X (played by Patrick Stewart). Due to aging, Professor X has lost control over his own powers; without medication, his abilities can spiral out of control, causing irreversible disasters worldwide. Furthermore, Wolverine's healing ability has gradually weakened with time, and his physical capabilities and strength are far from what they used to be. One day, a mysterious woman finds Wolverine and entrusts him with a girl named Laura (played by Dafne Keen), instructing him to take Laura to 'Eden' located at the Canadian border. What Logan does not expect is that Laura is a genetically engineered mutant created with his own DNA, and in the legendary Eden, there is a group of children with similar situations to Laura's.
