The investigator Li Yonghe (played by Zhao Lian) returned from his reconnaissance mission, and the director of the intelligence bureau, Chen Huiyuan (played by Yin Zhiming), assigned him a new task. Li Yonghe tracks a suspicious woman riding a donkey through the snow, but unexpectedly is captured by a group of bandits. The fake intelligence credentials he holds save him. After the agent Huang Yunmeng (played by Li Xie) is captured, he reveals that the list of spies was handed over to the agent Cui Xizheng (played by Li Jingbo), who is disguised as a warehouse manager.
