Ayasaki Murasaki (played by Keiko Kitagawa), a student at the prestigious private school Kiryu Gakuen, has worked hard to meet her mother's expectations and aimed for a top university since childhood. However, her academic performance has been declining ever since she met a handsome classmate in high school. One day, Murasaki is approached by a strangely dressed young man on the street. While trying to escape, she unexpectedly faints and ends up taken to an underground bar. This place serves as a studio for students from the Fashion Department of Yazawa Art Academy, where her peers appear to live in a completely different world. They dress extravagantly and behave uniquely, making Murasaki feel uncomfortable. In preparation for an upcoming design competition, a group led by Koizumi Renji (played by Osamu Mukai) insists on pulling Murasaki in as a model. Initially resistant and reluctant, Murasaki slowly integrates into this charming group of young people... This film is adapted from Ai Yazawa's manga of the same name.
