In Mumbai, there is a friendly Bollywood movie fan named Sunny, who dreams of becoming an actor. He is an assistant director but fantasizes about being a star. However, every time he auditions, he is quickly dismissed. Yet, he never loses hope and, by chance, follows an American film crew to a remote area in Rajasthan to shoot a documentary. One day, an Islamic terrorist organization mistakenly identifies Sunny as a member of the American crew and kidnaps him. Sunny finds himself on enemy territory, where everyone is heavily armed and guarded. The house where he is imprisoned belongs to a Pakistani named Aftab, who makes a living selling pirated Hindi DVDs. These terrorists decide to take Sunny hostage until they get back to their original target. After spending some time together, Sunny wins over many impression points from the rough guards. Then both parties (the hostages and the terrorists) realize that their cultural backgrounds are actually rooted in the same origins. So, what will ultimately happen to Sunny?
