A bank that has never been robbed, 30 million unmarked banknotes, sets off a series of thefts. A group of highly intelligent criminals led by Meleya (played by Pablo Schreiber), skilled in their methods, heavily armed, and obsessed with robbery; despite their numerous crimes, they leave few traces, making it difficult for the police to catch them. After a heist on an armored truck, their accomplice Donnie (played by O'Shea Jackson) is identified by the tough detective Nick (played by Gerard Butler), who learns from him that the gang's next target is to break into the Los Angeles Federal Reserve Bank, which has never been robbed before, to steal 30 million old bills that are about to be destroyed! Nick sets up a long net to try to catch them all at once. However, Meleya uses a strategy of diversion to mislead the police. Nick misses the opportunity to capture them and can only follow and chase them, leading to a series of gun battles. Although they ultimately intercept the thieves, the stolen money mysteriously disappears! There are deeper layers to this scheme; who is truly the mastermind who walked away with the huge sum?
