Soon, their armored vehicle got stuck in a collapsed section of the desolate road and was unable to proceed, so they signaled for help from the National Guard. However, the signal was intercepted by Jim (played by Morgan Freeman) and three others who were already prepared. Jim and his group violently robbed them, Charlie was killed, and Tom escaped alone while being pursued by Jim.
