Bart (played by David Anders) is a soldier who unfortunately gets shot and dies during a mission. Shortly after his body is buried, Bart unexpectedly comes back to life. Confused, Bart finds his friend Joey (played by Chris Wylde), and after thorough research and discussion, they conclude that Bart has turned into a zombie and he needs to survive by drinking blood. Thus, every day, Bart becomes a corpse, and at night, he comes alive. Bart's craving for blood troubles Joey greatly. After some discussion, a brilliant idea emerges - if he has to drink human blood, why not eliminate the many dirty and numerous criminals that exist like rats in Los Angeles at the same time? And so, a team composed of zombies and humans dedicated to punishing evil is born.
