In a park in New York, Skip Hinnant's character, Felix, and his friends plan to ask out three girls across the street. So, he lies to the three girls, claiming to have a soul waiting for redemption, and invites them to 'Seek the Truth.' He then takes them to a filthy apartment, where the four of them, completely naked, engage in their 'redemption' act in the bathtub. Meanwhile, a pig cop, in pursuit of a fugitive, enters the apartment. The fugitive seizes the chance to hide in the bathroom, and when the pig cop bursts in, the bathroom pipes burst, washing everyone away. Felix returns to his dorm room, but his roommate does not ignore his presence. He decides to leave and plans to set everything ablaze. The fire spreads throughout the dorm, burning the entire building down... The film is adapted from the comic of the same name by Robert Crumb and is America's first animated feature to be rated X. It depicts an anthropomorphic cat in mid-1960s New York City, exploring hedonism and socio-political consciousness, as well as racial relations, the freedom movement, and left-wing and right-wing politics.
