In 2005, NASA discovered an Earth-like exoplanet and determined that it might harbor intelligent life. To make contact with extraterrestrial beings, NASA initiated the 'Lighthouse Project' and established a deep space communication array in Hawaii, sending out high-power signals as a test. A few years later, an alien spacecraft unexpectedly arrived. The Pacific Joint Navy Exercise fleet stationed in Hawaii was tasked with making contact. The protagonist, Navy Lieutenant Alex (played by Taylor Kitsch), along with his missile destroyer and two other warships, were assigned as the reconnaissance team to engage with the alien ship. However, they were attacked and suffered heavy losses. Due to the shields deployed by the alien vessel, the other ships in the joint fleet were unable to provide support, leaving the team to fend for themselves. Eventually, all three modern ships were destroyed. With no ships left to use but needing to take out the communication station occupied by aliens, they had to resort to using the USS Missouri battleship, which had been converted into a maritime museum, for a final attack. A World War II-era battleship against advanced alien technology—who will prevail? What will be the fate of Earth?
