 Synopsis
This film is set against the backdrop of the "first contact" event between Earth humans and Vulcans, focusing on the arch-enemy 'Borg' from the TV series 'Star Trek: The Next Generation'. The USS Enterprise is on a routine patrol in space when Captain Picard receives a secret message stating that the Borg have allied with forces from other star systems and are preparing to attack Earth. Due to Captain Picard having been captured and assimilated by the enemy, Starfleet does not trust him and does not send him into battle. Ignoring orders, Picard participates in the fight, after which the Enterprise follows the Borg's temporal vortex back to the 21st century to thwart the Borg's attempt to alter the extraterrestrial development history of humanity in order to conquer Earth.
