In Pamir, there is an ancient tribe that believes in mysterious powers, where the forces of good and evil have been at odds for many years. This year, the leader of the evil faction (played by Di Wei) murders the elder to seize power; before dying, the elder informs his female slave, Sna (played by Zhu Baoyi), that the successor will come from the East... Hong Kong designer Zu (played by Chow Yun-fat) and his girlfriend Aida (played by Lan Jieying) travel to Nepal, but Zu encounters danger in the wild and is injured, returning to Hong Kong for treatment. In the hospital, he frequently sees the phantom of Sna. Soon, Sna arrives in Hong Kong and goes to the hospital to heal Zu's injuries, granting him special powers. As Zu takes Sna into his home, he hides her from Aida and gradually develops feelings for Sna. Meanwhile, the leader of the evil faction comes to Hong Kong with the intention to kill both Zu and Sna. To fulfill the last wish of her late master, Sna hints for Zu to go to Nepal to confront the evil faction, but the adversary, already one step ahead, is closing in on them...
