 Synopsis
The last summer of the 20th century. On that day, humanity finally realized that it was not the only ruler of this planet, Earth. Giant creatures known as "monsters" appeared, as well as the ultimate being that drives them away, "Godzilla." After enduring a war with the monsters that lasted for half a century, humanity faced defeat repeatedly and ultimately planned to escape from Earth. In 2048, a portion of humanity boarded the interstellar immigrant spaceship "Alatran" after being screened by artificial intelligence managed by the central government. They set out on a journey to the exoplanet "Tau Ceti e," located 11.9 light-years away. However, the environmental difference between the planet they reached after 20 years and Earth was far beyond expectations, making it uninhabitable for humans. Among the immigrants was a young man named Haru. When he was 4 years old, he witnessed his parents being killed by Godzilla. For 20 years, he had been obsessed with returning to Earth to eliminate Godzilla. The possibility of successful immigration had turned to dust, and the survival environment within the ship became increasingly harsh, with Haru's faction, the "Return to Earth Group," becoming the mainstream. They decided to embark on a perilous long-distance subspace voyage back to Earth. However, Earth had evolved over 20,000 years into an ecosystem dominated by Godzilla, transforming it into an unknown world. Will humanity be able to reclaim Earth in the end? What fate awaits Haru?
