 Synopsis
This film tells the story of Mr. Z, the leader of the opposition in a Southern European country (a reflection of Greece) under a military dictatorship. During a speech, he is assassinated, and the government claims it was an accidental car accident. Those who cannot believe this reason strongly demand an inquiry for the truth. A prosecutor, having learned various signs from Mr. Z's colleagues, decides to resist political pressure and pursue the case, ultimately discovering that this was a planned political murder involving many high-profile figures in politics. However, those involved in the case were either exiled, imprisoned, or killed. Gaswa gained fame through this film, initiating a new wave of political thriller movies.
