In the romantically infused Paris, young woman Nathalie (played by Audrey Tautou) once had a perfect love and a happy job, but one morning, a tragic car accident took her husband's life, extinguishing her beautiful life trajectory. She begins to indulge in her new job in an attempt to numb herself and rejects the affections of others. However, when an unassuming Swiss colleague, Markus (played by François Damiens), arrives at the company, they unexpectedly begin to develop feelings for each other, and the flavors of life seem to slowly revive. Yet, their relationship does not receive support from the outside world, and facing the misunderstanding of friends and the interference of suitors, how will they carefully protect this unexpected precious love... The film is based on the novel of the same name by David Foenkinos, which was nominated for four major literary awards in France and won ten prestigious literary honors, selling over 750,000 copies in France.
