Synopsis

This is the first film directed by Ng Man-tat, where the director attempts to reveal the shackles brought by environmental changes and social progress through the interactions and fates of the characters in the film, calling for mutual trust among people. Lan Tou (played by Ng Man-tat) is an ordinary Hong Kong policeman, and his gun number 9413 seems to foreshadow his tragic fate. Lan Tou is now on the verge of mental collapse and has lost all memories. His only option is to seek help from a psychologist, as he has always wanted to escape his current state of life — a dirty and chaotic world — but he seems forever unable to return to his past clean and bright world...
