 Synopsis
The Chief Investigation Officer of the ICAC, Jiang Jianqiu, approached key figures in a listed company corruption case as a prospective mother to find a breakthrough in the investigation. The Chief Investigator, Situ Qiewen, along with Assistant Investigation Officer Ding Xin, pretended to be a father-daughter duo to buy a property during the investigation of a maintenance tender case. With the help of gang member Xu Haonan and Assistant Investigation Officer Zhong Qiaoling, they successfully persuaded key figures to gather evidence against the construction company involved. Senior Investigation Officer Wu Xieben utilized IT knowledge to identify who was communicating with the outside world from prison, successfully solving the corruption case involving correctional staff. Even though Qiaoling and Ding Xin had different judgments about the individuals involved in the secondary school engineering corruption case, and were even stopped from contacting the case due to their connections to the persons involved in the insurance bribery case, their strong sense of justice and sense of mission propelled them toward the goal of uncovering the truth.
